Willows

Our travels continue. Two weekends ago, we left Oregon and drove down to California to be at Willows Christian Church. We really enjoyed our time with everyone there! Since it was only our second visit, it was great to be able to get to know people better and they were really excited to see us. Yolanda presented during the sermon time and we attended an all-church lunch afterward. Through our conversations, we could tell that they really stay updated with our blogs and know what's been going on with JM2Z and value our partnership.

Boise

The next day, we drove back to Boise after stopping overnight in Nevada. We had a very busy time in Boise last week. Yolanda had several speaking engagements; she spoke at a women's Bible study with 160 women, taught a missions class at Boise Bible College, and was the keynote speaker at a Fall women's event for 200 women. She was glad to meet so many ladies and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with them.

Then this past Sunday, we visited Weiser Christian Church for the first time, which is just outside of Boise. This was our first time there and we really enjoyed meeting everyone. The pastor generously gave his sermon time for Yolanda to present and people seemed to be really interested in what the Lord is doing in Zimbabwe through JM2Z. They were so interested that a group stayed a couple hours afterward just asking questions and learning more about the ministry. We got to stay with the pastor and his wife who are friends of ours, so it was wonderful catching up with them after not seeing each other in more than two years.

Board Meeting

This past Monday, we had a board meeting in Boise and it was our first in-person board meeting ever. Our 5 board members live in 4 different states and so meetings usually take place on skype. However since Yolanda and I are here, it was the perfect time to meet face to face. Although one was unable to come, but coming in from southern California would have been a pretty far trip (she's the one on the screen behind us on skype).

After the meeting on Tuesday, one of the board members drove us to his house in Wyoming, where we will be for a week. We drove through the Grand Tetons and saw our first snow in 3.5 years. Needless to say, we were pretty excited!

Next week, we will be heading to Denver to spend some time with family.
