Director of JM2Z
Yolanda Burgess was born and raised Zimbabwean. She can trace her family lineage back to 1610 when they first landed in Africa – she is African! She graduated from Boise Bible College, majoring in Bible, Missions and minoring in Women’s Ministries (2010). She also holds a Master’s of Divinity with a specialization in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Lincoln Christian University (2015). She is the Director of Jesu Ministries 2 Zim (JM2Z), a non-profit organization that meets the needs of women and children in her home country through: discipling, education, trauma counseling, natural medicine and micro-enterprises. She is passionate about the plight of the oppressed, impoverished, victimized, abused, and neglected. She has experience in speaking at various Christian events. Her desire is that all may be reconciled to a personal relationship with their Savior Jesus. She makes it her life’s mission to make that possible for her circle of influence.
Administrator of JM2Z
Andrew Burgess is from Wheaton, IL. He graduated from Taylor University with a B.A. in Business Management and a minor in Human Resources (2004). After several years of working in accounting, he got his M.S.Ed. at Northern Illinois University, specializing in Kinesiology and Physical Education (2013), while earning his teaching license. He has worked in school settings in various capacities, whether teaching, coaching, or before/after school-care. He also worked as an Adventure Education Facilitator, where he taught students life lessons through their participation in physical activities. Andrew is the Administrator of JM2Z. He also facilitates the children’s program that is hosted multiple times each year. Andrew enjoys working behind the scenes, keeping JM2Z running like a well-oiled machine. He loves working with the Zimbabwean people, and enjoys being able to spread God’s love to them.
