We just learned some exciting news! We wrote in a blog last month, that Yolanda and I went up to Minneapolis and spoke to a group at a church about JM2Z. Our focus at that time was on individuals who we were hoping could partner with us. We had an enjoyable evening with a small group from Albion Evangelical Free Church. Yolanda gave her presentation, followed by some dessert and informal visiting. The following morning, Yolanda spoke at a women's luncheon. She gave a testimonial and shared about God's Goodness, God's Provision, and God's Calling.

From this weekend, JM2Z was blessed with new individual supporters! We also left with many donations of clothing, school bags, baby items, and some toiletries, which we will take to Zimbabwe. What we just recently learned is that the church's missions committee met after we left, and voted to support JM2Z on a monthly basis as a church! We are so very thankful for this new partnership in spreading the Gospel, and to everyone in the church who is a part of it.  The hospitality of everyone we visited with in Albion was appreciated, and we can't wait until we are able to see them again.

We also have some meetings set up over the next few weeks. Tomorrow, we will be meeting with a church in Chicago, then the following weekend we will be visiting with Bushnell Christian Church, sharing in the Sunday School about JM2Z, as well as with their youth group. A couple weeks later, we have a meeting set up to meet with a missions minister in hopes of gaining new knowledge in the stage of ministry that we are in. Finally, at the end of February and the start of March, Yolanda will be flying back to California to speak at a women's retreat about JM2Z and the needs of women and children in Zimbabwe, Africa. 

Obviously we still have some open dates, and would love to fill them up with speaking engagements. We are still planning to leave at the end of March (date pending). Please pray for us! There is so much that needs to get done in the next few months before our departure.

Yolanda and I hope you all have had a great start to 2014! We are trying to stay warm here in Chicago, where it got down to -22 degrees yesterday, and actually just got above 0 for the first time in two days. We are trying not to be jealous of Zimbabwe's weather, which is a high of 81 today in the capital :-)

This year is going to be an exciting one for JM2Z! Yolanda and I have been looking forward to getting a permanent foot on the ground in Zimbabwe, and being there, working full-time. Until then, we are continuing to raise support.  We have several dates booked in the upcoming weeks, but still have others to fill.
