A Weekend to Remember

Last weekend, Yolanda and I enjoyed a wonderful timeout for us. We attended a marriage retreat in St. Louis, which was given to us as a wedding gift from friends. It was through Family Life's "A Weekend to Remember." We very much appreciated the opportunity to exclusively focus on our marriage for that time. There were couples there from all stages of life, everywhere from being married for 5 weeks, all the way to being married for 50 years. The speakers were amazing. The picture to the left is from our date night during the weekend. We would recommend this experience to any married couple, whether newly married, married for many years, remarried, your marriage is thriving, or just surviving. Plus, it takes place in many cities all over the country. On the way back to Wheaton afterward, it was snowy, and we witnessed about a dozen accidents on the highway. We saw overturned cars, cars spinning, and cars that were smashed into each other. We were extremely thankful for God's protection from the elements on the road.

We are leaving tomorrow for Minneapolis. We will be sharing about JM2Z to a church group on Friday. Then, Yolanda will be sharing at a women's event on Saturday about her life and how she got into missions. Please pray for safety during our 7.5 hours of driving each way, and that God would bless Yolanda with the words to say during each of her opportunities to speak.
