Board Member and Cash Crisis

New Board Member

We would like to welcome Nanette Brooks to our Board of Directors. Nanette has been nominated, voted for, and accepted the position. She is one of the women who came from Oregon on the mission team in April. She has a heart for missions, women, and children and will be a great asset for JM2Z.

Life in Zim

Life in Zimbabwe is continuing to get harder for the average person. The cash crisis is coming to a head and it is becoming extremely difficult for stores to import goods, which all stores must do to have anything on their shelves. The main grocery store said that by the end of the month, they are not sure about their ability to bring new stock into their stores. Also, the same is true of gas. In the picture above, you can see lines of cars forming. This is now true at many gas stations in Harare, at least the ones that have any. We are hearing that after this month, new shipments of diesel may be impossible. We will do our best to maintain an extra supply of diesel just in case. Thankfully, we have one vehicle that runs on diesel and one that runs on regular. After only finding gas at the fourth gas station I (Andrew) tried yesterday, I was becoming a little anxious about the situation. I pulled out and started driving. I turned to look at the car next to me, and written on the side of the van were the words, "GOD PROVIDES." How silly of me to worry.

Please be in prayer for the women and children with whom we work and their families. Please be in prayer for people we don't know. Please pray for their peace, comfort, health, and provision, that they would clearly see God working in their lives. Please pray for the leader of Zim and his family, who are currently in New York at the UN meetings. Pray that they would see the Light and choose to follow the Lord and make wise decisions to help the Zimbabwean people.

Please continue to pray for continued and final funding to help get our ladies started with their chicken businesses, as some have children unable to attend school this term, due to the fees.
